TecnoGetafe is a Science and Technology Park aimed at technologically advanced and, especially, innovative businesses. For this, its main mission is to be a base for new knowledge and technology cooperation and transfer between the business sector and technology centres, facilitating interaction between both.
The entirely urbanised Park is being developed on a surface area covering almost a million metres square (approximately one hundred hectares) located in the Madrid municipality of Getafe and is split into two nearby spaces of 577,000 and 400,000 metres square, respectively.
With an investment over 50 million euro, it will have the capacity to house around fifty businesses and allow for the creation of up to 1,200 direct jobs, as well as those indirect posts in complementary sectors and services.
In October 2008, the Park’s management consortium began to commercialise around 200,000 metres square of land to house perfectly equipped plots and with surface areas of between 2,100 and up to a maximum of around 17,400 metres square.
This Science and Technology Park has excellent links, being located between the Andalusia and Toledo main roads with links planned to the M-50 and the R-4 trunk road.
